litigation + executive experience
Major firm litigation experience
Jared began his legal career at Bryan Cave, now Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, where he represented Fortune 500 companies and universities in complex litigation, including class action defense, employment disputes, and high-stakes business litigation.
That experience developed the analytical discipline, writing, case assessment, and litigation strategy that continue to inform his practice.
Executive government leadership
Jared later served as Chief of Staff to the Mayor of St. Louis, the city’s highest-ranking appointed official. He helped manage a municipal government with a budget exceeding $1 billion, more than 5,000 employees, and responsibilities spanning public safety, economic development, personnel, legal affairs, housing, and major public investments.
That role required more than policy knowledge. It demanded judgment about when an issue required executive action, broader consensus, legal review, operational follow-through, or direct accountability. Jared brings that same practical discipline to client representation.
